The restaurant in College Park is gone, however a food truck remains just a bit north of the restaurant in the parking lot of the Exxon Gas Station. Plus, don't worry you can get your margaritas starting in November when they reopen a new restaurant in the downtown area of College Park. https://www.taqueriahabanero.com

Don't let this little place fool you, it's a show stopper for a great taco and an incredible drink! Although small, and unassuming from the outside, Habanero delivers some diverse options for you next taco Tuesday needs! The taco Tuesday special is two tacos and a margarita for just 15$! If that doesn't have your attention then i don't know what will! I came in for taco Tuesday after losing in bowling for date night to lick my wounds smh. We sat at the bar and was greeted by Martin (or Martini for his bartender nickname). Martin was knowledgeable, fun, and made one of the BEST skinny margaritas I ever had! The food came out super fast, and I loved how the barbacoa was made with goat! Now I'm part African, but watch out for the habanero salsa because it is HOT! Definitely recommend you going, and trying this place out on your next taco Tuesday outing.

Let me start with the fact that I didn't take a photo of any dishes because I was excited to try this place. I ordered the mole poblano enchiladas - super delicious! Also a shrimp taco - they were more or less, I didn't like the dressing it included. My husband ordered some steak (bistec) tacos which I also tried and we both loved them. He also ordered a shrimp taco and he didn't like it because of the dressing. We ordered hard tacos/rolled tacos (flautas de tinga) that were honestly more than tasty. The horchata drink was pretty good. The sauces were delicious, I loved the spiciest one that is more of an orange color (you have to order it). At last we ordered churros to go and they were also good. I highly recommend and I would go there again.

Great place located in college park! The ambiance feels like a whole in the wall but has a jaunty Mexican vibe to it. Everything we had was really good! We anticipated that a little more shrimp would be used in the nachos and burrito. The spice and flavors were really good!

If you just want that one takeout dish that's going hit the spot. Fajita grill with shrimp, beef, and chicken doesn't miss.

I haven't been to Taq Hab in years -- even then, it was the DC one I went to. This was my first time at the one right around the corner from my house. I met up with a friend and was immediately pleased by the interior -- comparing to DC, it felt so much more open and I liked that! It also wasn't packed -- but at the same time, it was on a weekday night. Anyways, my friend and I sat near the front and we taken care of in a timely manner. I had a delicious margarita and some various tacos -- fish, cactus, etc. As usual in spots like this, the chips and salsa were on point. The tacos themselves tasted about as good as I remember as well. I don't have to go too far to find more reasonable prices though. I'm glad they expanded outside of DC, and I can't believe it took me so long to check them out. I'll be back!

So I used to love this place, and I still do but their portions got extremely small. My first two pictures were pre-pandemic and the third is post-pandemic. I totally get that ingredients and everything is just getting smaller, but it just hurts to see. Prices aside, the food here is pretty darn good. I always get al poster on everything I order and it never misses. Perfectly tender and a great balance of sweet and umami. My favorite thing here are their nachos. Something about the crunchy chips and the creamy sour cream and guac is a perfect combination. The corn thick tortilla in the sopes is absolutely delicious. The ingredients are always fresh, which again makes their increasing prices understandable. The service is a bit slow, albeit I go during peak times so take that with a grain of salt.
